5 tips for making your bike ride more enjoyable and safe
Here are several tips for beginning bicycle riders to make their bile rides more enjoyable, more comfortable and safer!
1. Stretch before and after the ride. It will reduce the risk of injuries and sore muscles. No matter the length of the ride, stretching will ensure that you enjoy it during and after the event! It is important to stretch only after the muscle has been actively warmed up – either with a few minutes of exercise or in the post exercise period. There is scientific evidence that this will increase tissue elasticity and reduce the frequency of injuries directly related to the stretching itself.
2. Do not forget to take a bottle of water with you. Proper hydration level is always important, but especially during any sports activities such as bike riding.
3. If it is sunny or a bright day, wear sunglasses for better vision. It does not need to be special sport glasses; even fashionable Tom Ford glasses will do the job well.
4. If you are the type of person that likes data and to measure things, your ride will be more enjoyable with one of the cyclometers. There are many different ones available on the market in different price ranges and with different functional specifications. 5. While driving, always make sure you have at least one hand at the handlebars, no matter what. Know and use your hand signals whenever you are changing lanes or making a turn.
